This film was released on DVD on December 9, 2008 by Warner Home Video. It has an aspect ratio of 1. 85:1. The title is on the disc itself, front and center on the DVD cover, and in the onscreen menu. The only mention of "Ocean's Twelve" is in very small print on the back of the DVD cover. The release uses the same transfer as released in widescreen form for HDTVs in September 2007 (). Warner Bros. would later release Ocean's Eleven to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 26, 2018.
A remake of Ocean's 11 directed by Steven Soderbergh was released theatrically in 2001 starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia (from the original film). The remake featured several actors from the original film including Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Bernie Mac and Topher Grace. It was followed by a sequel, "Ocean's Twelve", in 2004 and another with the same cast and director, titled "Ocean's Thirteen", in 2007. The 2001 remake was also followed by two spinoff films, "Vegas Vacation" (1997) and "The Hangover" (2009), and a television series on ABC. In October 2015, Soderbergh announced a third Ocean's film, to be directed by Gary Ross and written by Kieran Fitzgerald. The film is set for a early 2017 release. With Ross as director and Scott Z. Burns as screenwriter, the two worked together on the television film "The Girlfriend Experience" (2016). They shared tax credits from that production as well as from "Contagion" with Soderbergh producing. In his 2016 interview with "Variety", Soderbergh called "Ocean's 8" “a re-imagining of those" films ""Ocean's Eleven"" and ""Ocean's Twelve."" On November 6, 2018, Warner Bros.
